Alice's Evidence, Salvador Dali 1969

Salvador Dali
Alice in Wonderland Prints

In 1969, Salvador Dali was commissioned by Maecenas Press (New York) to illustrate a limited edition of Lewis Carol's Alice in Wonderland.   He created 12 chapter illustrations, and a 13th Frontispiece.  The book itself was limited to 2500 numbered copies, each signed on the title page by Dali.    In the process of creating the book, a run of 200 heliogravure prints were made on Japon paper.

We are very excited to have a small collection of these original illustrations to share with you.   Specifically, we have 4 of the heliogravure's along with the woodblock etching frontispiece; all from the run of 200 on Japon paper.  The colors are amazing, and the imagery is complex and illusory.   These works are a dream.  Please come see them in person.
