Classes and Events
Below are the descriptions and links for the classes and other events we have going on at the gallery in the near future. We're really excited for all of them, and we hope you decide to join us! Unless otherwise stated, the cost for each class is $30.
Artists' Reception | May 20th 2:00pm to 4:00pm
Eggleston Gallery is hosting a reception--sponsored by the Bath Public Art Committee--that will feature more than twenty local artists. Guests will have the opportunity to see work from the art students of Bath High School, Kathryn Sutton (metalwork), Pamela Timmons (pottery), Jim Wolnosky (woodwork), Gijsbert van Frankenhuzyen (painting), and our own Lexi Flint (apparel), Grace Eggleston (photography), and Melissa Eggleston (painting). These artists represent a wealth of media and styles! Come from 2-4pm to meet artists, ask questions, and enjoy refreshments.
Open Studio Hours Saturday Afternoon!
Saturday from 12-3pm we open up the classroom area for artists to work on their own projects. They would love for more people to join them! It’s a great opportunity to be around other creative people, to see a variety of art mediums being used and to get feedback (if you want it) from others. We have a great time! It’s just a $5 studio fee, and we always have plenty of coffee and treats around. Please contact me if you are interested or have any questions.
Eric Johnson | Wildlife Photography Basics
Saturday June 16th, 9-12 and 1-4
Join us as Visions of Wildlife photographer Eric Johnson shows how to take wildlife photographs like a pro. There will be two sessions, you can attend either or both. In the morning session you will learn camera basics, how to properly navigate and set-up your camera, and photography basics and techniques focusing on wildlife photography. In the afternoon session Eric will help you use these techniques and skills in an outdoor setting. All proceeds will be donated to conservation efforts at Potter Park Zoo. Suggested class price is $25 for each session and $50 for both, but if you are interested in donating more you can either bring a check on the 16th or visit the Potter Park Zoo's donation page.
Class size is limited to 20 people so register today! A lunch will also be provided here at the Gallery for those interested (more details on that will be shared closer to the class date).
